Dwarka is situated in Gujarat and this place is the land of Lord Krishna where he spent his life with his family. This place is known as dwarkanagri and one of dham of char dham. Now main dwarka nagri is sink into ocean but still so many temples are there where pilgrims are coming to pray.
How to Reach
You can reach here by only train and bus because there is no airport in Dwarka. The nearest airport is Rajkot which is 235 KM away from Dwarka. The best way to reach here is by train which is connected by many railway stations of India and if your train is not directly connected with Dwarka railway station then you can take train to Ahmedabad which is 450 KM away from Dwarka and then you can take another train to Dwarka but if you are facing train ticket availability issue then you can take bus from Ahmedabad. Bus frequency is very good from Ahmedabad. So there are 3 route options-
1. Directly by Train from your hometown.
2. Reach Ahmedabad and Take another Train or Bus.
3. Reach Ahmedabad or Rajkot by Flight and take Bus, Train or Cab.
Where to Stay
After reaching dwarka railway station you will get auto rickshaw and do not take hotel near railway station. So the best place to stay in Dwarka is near Dwarkadhish Temple which is 2.5 KM away from Dwarka Railway Station. It is better to book hotels in advance because you can face availability issue on the special occasions like weekends, festivals, Janmashtami and holidays etc. During these occasions hotel prices are 2-3 times more than normal price so it is advisable to book online. The average price of hotel room is around Rs. 1200-1500 per night 2 adults but there is one more option which is dharamshala and there are so many dharamshalas like rajput seva samaj vishramgruh, Dwarka yatrika bramhan samaj dharmshala, maheshwari bhawan, gujarati dharamshala and many more. In these dharamshala you will get rooms in Rs. 300-700 based on category and availability.

Some more places are there but these are main places and the first 3 places are most important place of dwarka.
Itinerary
One whole day is enough to visit all important places here but if you have two days then you can travel easily. So I am giving you one day itinerary of Dwarka.
One Day Itinerary-
1. Start your day at early morning 5 o’clock and get ready till 6 AM
2. Now go to Bet Dwarka which is 30 KM away from the main city and you can go by sharing auto in Rs. 50 per person. You will get auto anywhere in dwarka but Bhadrakali Chowk and ISKON Gate will be good point for you. I will also tell you about scooty rental option later.
3. Bet Dwarka is situated in Okha so after reaching there you will go to ferry terminal and take ticket which is Rs. 40 for round trip and ticket counter opening time is morning 6AM and Closing time is evening 9PM.
4. Ferry will drop you at Bet Dwarka and the timing of temple is morning 6:30 AM – 1 PM and 5 PM to 9 PM. So make sure if you have only one day then do darshan till 11 AM.
5. After doing darshan come back to ferry terminal and hire auto for Nageshwar Mahadev Temple which is one of the Jyotirlinga of 12 Jyotirlinga. Sharing auto will take Rs. 50 per person. On the way of Nageshwar Mahadev you can also visit Gopi Talav and Rukmini Temple.
6. Do Darshan in Nageshwar Mahadev which is open from morning 6 AM to Evening 10 PM.
7. Now go back to dwarka and do darshan in Dwarkadhish Temple and Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple. After Darshan you can go to dwarka beach and you can do some adventure activities here. Dwarkadhish Temple timing is 6:30 AM – 1 PM and 5 PM to 9 PM.
According to this itinerary you will do dwarkadhish temple darshan at evening but if you have another day then you can do morning darshan also.

Best Time To Visit
Here you will face hot weather throughout the year but from November to February you will feel little bit cold during morning and evening. So during winters you can take some warm clothes but not too much.
Scooty Rental
You can hire scooty in dwarka and this option is best for two persons like couple and friends. There are some scooty rental shops near ISKON Gate and they will ask you for Driving License and ID Proof. One day rent is Rs. 400-500 and they will also provide helmet. You can see above picture and contact to scooty rental shops or you can also find on google.
Food Option
There are so many restaurants and dhabas are there and you can try anywhere. Most of restaurants are situated within one kilometer of the radius of Dwarkadhish Temple and You will get north, south, punjabi and every kind of food here but you should try some gujarati food specially during breakfast like khammam, dhokla, fafda, jalebi and gathiya.
Language
The main language of Dwarka is Gujarati but everyone understands hindi here. So language is not a big problem here. Some people also understand english.
