Day1

  • Mindroling Monastery : also known as the Buddha Temple Complex, Situated in the middle of the serene foothills of the Himalayas, the is one of the largest Buddhist center’s in India. You do not have to pay any entry fee. The monastery is open from 9 AM to 7 PM on all days of the week.
  • Tapkeshwar Mahadev : Tapkeshwar is said to be one of the most famous and popular sites in Dehradun. It is located 6.5 km away from the city center of Dehradun. The cave is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is open from 6 am to 7 pm daily and takes approximately one hour to complete a tour of the temple. This temple has a beautiful lake and views of mountains are amazing.

  • Sahastradhara : It is situated 11 Km away from main city area. There is a old shiva temple and a Ropeway to reach at the top. You will find most amzing views and park once you will reach at the top. You need to spend 300 Rs as entry fee, if you have student pass you will get discount. It opens from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Day 2

  • Tapovan : One of the top tourist attractions of Dehradun, It is the place where Dronacharya, the teacher of Pandavas and Kauravas, performed penance. It is merely 7 km away from the main town. It has a vast network of roadways and can be reached by hiring the service of the local bus or taxis. The timings of the temple are 6 am to 8 pm. There is no entry fee to visit the temple. You can carry your cameras to click pictures of the temple.

  • Malsi Deer Park It also known as Dehradun Zoo, is located in Dehradun, 10 km away from Mussoorie Road. You can spot a few popular cartoon characters such as Mowgli, Baloo- the bear, Bagheera, Sher Khan, Raju, Chutki, and Chota Bheem. The park has a refreshment area where you can grab a bite and have your kids enjoy the play area, complete with slides, a see-saw, and swings.

  • Robber’s Cave : This is the Most famous tourist attraction in Dehradun, you need to pay Rs 35 as entry fee to enter in cave. If you are coming here on Scotty or own vehicle you need to pay extra 20 Rs for parking. This place has caves and water in it and it looks so picturestic. The cave is about 600 metres long, and divided into two main parts. The cave has a highest fall of about 10 metres. It consists of an extremely narrow gorge formed in a conglomerate limestone area on Doon Valley’s Dehra plateau
